August 25th 1863 Dear Father, I will seat my self down once more in good health in hoping this may find you all well Father I have rote you sevrell times hear but I have recied only one from you since I left Kingston & I shod like to know the reason that you havent rote once befour as Reitrer is going home an will sende you one Hundred Dolars and I shod like you wood say it is out for the land ur stock ur you havent got it an day it all out to the bests adres edge if it will get down with you and if it wonte sends it back I ask you to by on my so that John tells me and if you havent done so you can as your own pleasure about it Pay it ur let it alon but I shod like you wood lay it out so if youd forgive some good if I ever shod come home and if I dont why its yourn son sends his bests.
